Team Ehrmanns are raising Money for Pancreatic Cancer UK in memory of Michael Jarzebowski.

Michael joined Ehrmanns in 1995 as a Director of Sales in charge of a German producer called Langguth whose main brand was the famous Blue Nun brand. Using his boundless enthusiasm and dedication he managed to increase sales from 60,000 c/s to 450,000 c/s in a period of  6 years!!!!   He truly became the Blue Nun brand ambassador and injected a sense  of fun into a brand which had become dull and tired. Getting the whole JS wine team dressed as Nuns was one of his hilarious achievements !!  .  Not only did Michael bring with him his experience of working with Langguth but also  his infectious sense of humour and warm camaraderie. There are many  stories such as his singing opera in a restaurant after a good tasting or singing ‘We are the Champions’ in a bar in Germany after England beat Germany at footie! Suppliers and customers alike found his companionship both entertaining and engaging. He always had time to listen and support those around him and many close friendships were forged over the time he worked with us. Once in semi retirement his energy did not wane  and after leaving Ehrmanns he set up his own consultancy company which included representing the most expensive Rose in the World from Provence and latterly a vodka brand called Crystal Head , as created by Dan Akroyd.  He continued to work through his illness with as much vitality as he could muster. His continued upbeat view on life up until the end and touched all those who  knew him . He was truly a wine trade one-off and will be remembered for many a year. The high attendance at his memorial is a testament to this.
