Eileen Jackson recently passed away following a battle with Cancer. She is much loved and missed by her family.
She worked as a State Registered Nurse for 40 years, training at Newcastle General Hospital, to working at the Royal Sick Childrens hospital in Edinburgh, and finally as Senior Night Sister at James Cook University Hospital on Teeside.
After a lifetime of caring for other people, she received palliative care at home from the Herriot Hospice Homecare service. The help of the dedicated staff at the hospice was incalculable in value to the family and Eileen, and ensured she had the best care possible.
They do not have a charity shop and quietly go about their work with little publicity. They cover a large geographical area, relying on volunteers to offer many of their services.. In recognition of their help, Peter, Caroline and Steve would like any donations to be made through this site, on behalf of the hospice.
Thank you
