Anthony Nolan is UK charity that focuses on leukaemia and hematopoietic stem cell transplantation. It manages and recruits donors to the Anthony Nolan Register and it also carries out research to help make bone marrow transplants more effective.
The charity is named after Anthony Nolan (born 1971, died 1979), who suffered from a rare inherited blood disorder. It was founded by Anthony's mother Shirley in 1974 as the "Anthony Nolan Register".
I am a member of the student organisation, MARROW, operating in Queens University and 38 other universities throughout the UK. It works with Anthony Nolan to raise awareness of the charity and blood cancers within universities and their local communities.
For the past 35 years, Anthony Nolan has been the best chance for thousands of people who’ve urgently needed stem cell transplants. Their mission has always been to save lives. So please dig deep and donate now.
