Susie Lockyer lost both her son and husband to cancer in 2013, she was then diagnosed with terminal cancer herself in 2014. After receiving this terrible news, so soon after the death of Gary and Brian, Susie could have just given up and hid herself away, but she didn't. She made it her mission to raise as much money as she could for Cancer Research UK and inspired lots of other people along the way. #teamsusie was created to link all of these people together and to collectively raise money for a charity that works towards beating a disease that has affected us all in one way or another.

Sadly Susie passed away in July this year, she saw the total raised reach £20,000 which she was amazed by and very proud of.

We are going to continue to raise much needed funds for Cancer Research UK in memory of the loved ones we have all lost, in support of those still battling and in celebration of those who have won.

Following this we also lost my very dear friend Claire, also to cancer, so now I'm taking every opportunity that comes my way, helping raise funds and awareness.
