Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Jordan Pentland was my nephew he loved life and lived it to the full what we didn't know was Jordan had a rare genetic disorder - Leigh's disease which is a form of mitochondria – at this present time there is no cure for this. Jordan slipped away on Good Friday 2011 at the age of 17 (most children never get past the age of 3) so on the day we would have been attending his 18th birthday party Sat 18th of June myself, family and friends plan to walk 18 miles along the Ayrshire coast – starting at Irvine Beach one of Jordan’s favourite places to raise funds for valuable research at Newcastle University to help enable them come up with a cure one day to help other families.
On behalf of the Pentland family and especially his dad Fraser and mum Margaret - thanks very much for your contribution and if you want to join us for all or part of the walk please let me know.
