Eldon Marathon Walk · 24 September 2016

At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.

Story

The fit and able team here at Eldon are undertaking a gruelling Marathon Walk (26.5 miles) along the Northumberland coastline between Bamburgh and Alnmouth, on Saturday 24th September.

Tony, Gemma, Jon, Kevin, Neale, Adam, Tony O and Donna will all undertake this demanding challenge as a team. Ben, the office dog, will be joining us for some of the route. We have set the challenge and route ourselves so there is no wider support available.

Jan and Joss have kindly offered to provide support in terms of replenishing water and providing blister plasters at intervals throughout the day!

This is a gruelling challenge but the charity very much deserves our help. We continue to work with clients who are affected, directly or indirectly, with Alzheimers and we can see the effect the disease has upon the individual affected and those who love and care for them.
