I haven't stopped going on about it for ages, so you probably know I'll be teaching English in Thailand for 6 months as part of my placement year. However, it's voluntary and I need to fundraise a bit of money for my host family, visa, travel insurance and administration costs for the charity themselves, VESL.

VESL is a UK charity that provides short, mid and long term volunteering opportunities in Sri Lanka, India and Thailand.

The charity is run almost entirely by volunteers and is therefore able to keep overheads to a bare mininum whilst upholding a passionate commitment to running projects that are not only rewarding and fun but benificial to host communities.VESL asks its volunteers to contibute towards the costs of their placement, but costs are kept to a minimum and are much lower than other organisations sending volunteers overseas.

I have about a year from now to fundraise and I'll be doing quite a few things to persuade you to give me your money, including the infamous milk drink :-( But I'll try not to bug you too much and please only give what you can, every pound helps!
