Yep, not the wisest decision... 42km / 26 miles with nowhere near enough training.
But all for a good cause. I am running for Operation Christmas Child, which (for lack of better description) is a fully owned and operated charity of Samaritan's Purse -- presents for kids in the developing world at Christmas and the New York Marathon is thus very timely. I picked this charity as a close friend of mine is very active with it and have heard accounts first hand of what great work and real joy they bring to the children.http://www.samaritanspurse.org/index.php/OCC/
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. Please be generous and think of my suffering during those many hours.I have it on good authority that this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also apparently the most efficient way to sponsor me: Samaritan's Purse will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
So please sponsor me. It will mean a lot.
