Hi everyone, thank you for coming here to read a bit more about why I'm running the London Marathon, and hopefully you'll be inspired to sponsor me.

I feel that my efforts will be best spent in raising money for a charity that is close to all of us.  We have been fortunate to have come into contact with this terrible disease without it leaving us minus a special someone.  Very few are so fortunate and this charity is one that I feel puts the money raised to the most required and effective areas.  If the money that we raise here together can save just one life or even make someone more comfortable, it will have been worth the effort.
