As some of you will know, in my spare time, i.e.  when I'm not ruining the world by working in evil banking, I work for the Mercury Phoenix Trust charity (check us out at http://www.mercuryphoenixtrust.com/Home.aspx), raising  funds and awareness in the fight against AIDS. 

We have just gone live on Just Giving, and as the editor of our site, I thought I should lead by example and show everyone how easy and safe it is to use for all their fund raising activities for us. 

So in a potentially regrettable moment of inspiration I thought why not combine the two worlds of work and charity and become 'Queen for a Day'... so on Tuesday, 11th May I will be spending the day as none other than the legendary Freddie as I go about my daily life. The attached photos should demonstrate just how hot I look in this get up, so fortunately this won't be an embarrassing event!

This will include a no doubt excruciating commute from suburbia to the Wharf on the train and the Jubilee accompanied by my boom box and mike, handing our flyers for the charity in rush hour and at lunch, a number of client meetings, and popping to the gym after work followed by a couple of drinks with the lads (not the rest of Queen I might add). I will finally end up at the anniversary party of We Will Rock You at the Dominion Theatre before venturing home on the last train! 

I will be being followed throughout the day by my trusty paps to provide evidence of my deeds, and will be blogging the day for the site. 

So I'm asking you to dig deep to support my humiliation, and help me raise enough to convince my boss that this is a good idea! It really is an important charity and anything you can give would be much appreciated. Oh, and remember to tick the gift aid box!
