Story

On April 29th 2012 I am going to run the Milton Keynes Marathon – my first! This is a big celebration, because 30 years ago on a snowy evening in January, Exeter Hospicare was launched.

We thought very few people would come, but the Exeter Guildhall was full and people were standing out on the pavement.

Each year over 2000 people and their families are looked after in the Hospice and at home. So to Celebrate this (and being almost 70!) Tim & Mark our sons and I will be running the race for Exeter Hospicare.

Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page – please give as you can.

PS – Last time Tim attempted to raise any money for Exeter Hospicare, it was going to be a sponsored bike ride from Exeter to Lyme Regis and back. This was in 1982. The training was going well until a bad crash put pai to all the efforts. So instead of a the bike ride Tim ended up in The RD&E Hospital Wonford for 4 days under the watchful care of his father's colleagues! (His father being the current President of Exeter Hospicare).
