Our personal message:

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. Please dig deep and sponsor me online.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Kirkwood Hospice will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

It's probably a huge shock to people who have known me for a long time that I would even contemplate something like running a marathon!! However, it's something I've wanted to do ever since watching the first London Marathon way back.

As I'm approaching 40 (18 months and counting) I decided the time was right and if I can raise money for the hospice who looked after my dad at the same time I'll feel all the hard work training was worth it!! Hopefully dad will help me en route - either that or have a damn good laugh at me from on high!!!
