Trade Aid is an education charity which was founded ten years ago. Its work is in the small village of Mikindani, southern Tanzania, and its aim is to help tackle poverty and bring about a level of prosperity for the local people, through the creation of sustainable employment.

My story

Your mission - should you choose to accept it . . . is to shoot 3 films in 6 days TOMORROW!

You will have a high definition camera, a multi-functional rather creased capsule wardrobe (from VSO days) and 8 pairs of hard-wearing flip-flops.

Yes - I'm off on another mad mission. And this time it's personal. I'm helping a charity make some films to promote themselves help raise funds and recruit volunteers (anyone feeling like they could be more useful in life? well, just volunteer!). If you'd like to check them out, please look at www.tradeaiduk.org.

Trade Aid are working to create sustainable employment and education in Mikindani, Tanzania, a very under-developed part of Africa where they help to create training and and employment. They are a great grass-roots charity if you want to donate to them regularly or volunteer like me!

If you'd like to help out, your money will go directly to Trade Aid, who sent out a request for a film student volunteer to produce a fund-raising film about their work. If you'd like to get involved or donate, please contact them or click on the buttons at the bottom of this page!
