Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page and a massive thanks to those that have already donated!
I am running the Virgin London Marathon on the 22nd April 2012 for a charity called the PSP Association.
The PSP Association is dedicated to the support of people with Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP) and those who care for them. PSP is a condition which causes gradual death of nerves in areas of the brain which control movement, vision, speech and swallowing. Over time, PSP can rob a person of the ability to talk, walk, feed themselves and communicate with the world around them. PSP usually affects people in their 40s, 50s and 60s, and life expectancy following diagnosis is only seven years on average.
The PSP Association funds research to better understand the possible causes of PSP and to find ways to achieve earlier and better diagnoses and to develop treatments that could potentially slow down or even halt the progression of this disease. The charity also supports patients, families and carers through the provision of Specialist Nurses and support groups.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
So please dig deep and donate now.
