Story

Hi all,

After 3 months of attemping to cause myself death by alcohol and smoking whilst I was away I've decide to see if a triathlon does the trick instead.

I'm only doing the sprint version (750m swim, 20km cycle & 5km Run) but if any of you have seen me swim you'll appreciate that this is a huge challenge for me especially given it's in open water with about 300 people at a time swimming on top of you!

I'm participating on behalf of Kidscape who aim to protect kids from bullying and sexual abuse - a worthy charity I'm sure you'll agree....see www.kidscape.org.uk for more info on what they do.

Please give anything you can afford to help people less fortunate than ourselves and feel free to come and cheer me on, laugh at me in a swimming hat or generally just get involved in the atmosphere on the 9th.

Your grateful if not a little nervous friend!

Elliot
