I'm running the London Marathon for Essex Air Ambulance. I've had the chance to see these guys in action in my previous role at North Weald Airfield and as an on-call firefighter in Essex. The Essex Herts Air Ambulance is a vital life-saving helicopter it costs in the region of £2,700 each time they get a shout! They receive NO direct funding from the government.
