Story
Easter 2013 will see a group of 20 people, including staff, pupils and parents from Elmfield School for the Deaf visiting and supporting deaf schools in Nepal. We’re fundraising to assist a poor and needy Deaf School in the remote region of Taplejung , hopefully providing them with essential school resources and materials, thus helping to ensure a safe learning environment can be provided for their pupils.
The purpose of the trip is to further establish links between Deaf schools in Nepal and those here in Bristol, started two years ago when we visited Pokhara deaf school. We were able to donate web cams and other resources as well as financially supporting one deaf girl through her education at the school.
Please note that none of the money raised will be used towards funding the travelling arrangements for anyone on this trip.
We have a target this year of £3500 and with this money, if achieved, we hope to provide the Deaf School with safety equipment for the school, Books and other esssential learning materials, thus fulfilling our motto "Providing Opportunities, Building Friendships".
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor . The Pahar Trust Nepal gets your money faster and if you’re a UK taxpayer, JustGiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
Between now and our Nepal Trip we’ll be completing various fundraising activities and you can follow these both here and on Facebook ….
So please sponsor us now!
