The East London Mosque’s football tournament returns again this year for 2015. The tournament has been a huge success in previous years with many teams oversubscribed. Teams taking part from all over London. We hope to make the 2015 tournament even bigger and better.

The football tournament will take place on:

Location: Mile End Leisure Centre, 190 Burdett Road, London, E3 4HL

Time: 9.30am.

This is a 5-a-side tournament with 2 subs (optional), but 5 players is a must. First come first served basis.

Why I should take part?

The East London Mosque completed the new Maryam Centre solely with the help of the community. A majority of the building was paid with Qard Hasanah (interest free loan), which will inevitably have to be returned to donors. We wish to make this house of Allah debt free. It is only with the support and commitment from the community we have been able to progress thus far, providing essential projects and services for the community.

The Maryam Centre is a first of its kind, providing an essential faith based space and building exclusively for the service of women.

The fully operational ELM Maryam Centre includes:

• More prayer space for men and women, which people are already benefitting from

• A permanent visitor’s exhibition centre

• Educational facilities for girls

• Expansion of projects and services dedicated for women

• Health and fitness exclusively for women

• An improved funeral service
