Hi,

 My name is Emel. I am 52 years old, married, with two grown up children.

 About two years ago, I was asked by a family friend to join the Pro Cancer Research Fund annual fundraising walk. However, due to other commitments I was unable to take part until last year. The 2007 walk was a real challenge for me (never having exerted myself over any extended amount of time at all before!), but given that it was such a worthwhile cause and well needed, I managed to raise the money from very kind family and friends (and anyone else I could persuade!). I thank them all for their generosity and support.

And so, here we are in 2008 and I am getting ready to do the walk all over again, but this time in memory of a cousin of mine, Aydin Ferda who lost her life to cancer about 24 years. She was young had just qualified as a lawyer and had so much to live for. A truly  beautiful person, so full of life and laughter and she will always be in my heart.

So please dig deep in your pockets (for as little or as much as you can) and sponsor me for a cause that is truly worthwhile!
