Floods in North West Pakistan worst in nearly 80 years

 

More than 1,500 people dead 

 

Many villages washed away

 

Infrastructure severely damaged

 

State of emergency declared

 

The death toll NOW exceeds 1500, with 27,000 people still trapped or stranded. These are the worst flood in 80 years..

 

The UNICEF said over 3 million people across the nation have been affected by the flash floods and landslides in the northwest, with the risk of death and disease growing as meteorologists predict more rain to come.

 

 

Ramadan is fast approaching, it is imperative to get basic needs in place for all the people in the region.

 

It will be a long long road to rehabilitation under extremely trying weather conditions in the coming months.....
