<p>Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.</p>
<p>I'm raising money for the charity Heartline as a way of giving back, having had so much help and support from them since Charlie was diagnosed with a complex congenital heart defect.</p>
<p>I felt very alone and isolated until I happened upon the website whilst trawling the internet for any information about his problems, and immediately felt a huge sense of relief that I was not alone. I 'lurked' for a few months, reading about other children in similar situations until I finally plucked up the courage to say Hi and tell our tale. I was made so welcome within minutes and I can post questions about all sorts of things from medications to procedures through to my own fears and there is always a quick response from one of the others on the board, it really has been invaluable to me.</p>
<p>They also organise get togethers for the whole family and have sent my 2 elder children on a siblings PGL, which helped them, as they made friends with other children who have a sibling with a heart problem and it made it all a lot less difficult for them too</p>
<p> However, the charity is run entirely on voluntary contributions and it is struggling to make enough money to cover costs at the moment, so I thought I would ask my friends and family to make a donation here to help, I would surely have been a lot less sane (perish the thought) had it not been for Heartline, the website, the team and of course my extended virtual family, the members</p>
