:D :D :D Marathon completed in 5 hours 15 mins and 46 secs!!! Thank you to everyone who donated and supported me through this challenge!! It was a great experience and I have no doubt that my fundraising efforts and your donations are very appreciated by all those who are helped by Action for Kids!! :D x

Just over two weeks to go now until the BIG DAY!! Lots of offline fundraising now means £400 left to raise!! Hope you can help!!

UPDATE 2
Quiz Bingo and Raffle Evening raised a further £277.03 offline. I would like to say a MASSIVE thank you to everyone who came along, to all the companies around Plymouth who donated prizes, to Lani who kindly gave me 2 boxes of chocolates, a compendium of games and a bottle of champagne towards the prizes and to the ski centre for letting me use their venue!!
Still collecting donations from my office but these have added up to around £200 so far. Thank you to everyone there who puts up with me and my wonderful moneyraising ventures!
UPDATE
Just to keep you all up to date, training is going well :-) a small injury here and there but hopefully that wont happen again. I'm surprised about how much raised so far, £391.28 raised offline, I believe it's thanks to a couple of people who have gone out of their way to get sponsors for me!! I can't thank them enough. But still a long way to go so the charity still needs your donation!! Even a little bit would be appreciated because no donations always equals nothing but many small donations WILL add up!!
A BIT ABOUT ME
I am going to run the New York Marathon on the 6th November 2011 in order to raise money for the charity 'Action for Kids'.
I have never before ran more than 5 miles and that was only once!! But, for this charity, training is in progress and I’ve no doubt before midnight of 6th Nov, I will be saying 26 miles is the furthest I’ve ever ran!

MORE ABOUT ME
Since I was three, my family have known that my brother has Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, a life threatening physical disability. Although, at times, many obstacles have made it difficult for us, support, similar to that offered by Action for Kids, has invaluably helped us through.
This marathon is an opportunity for me to help give something back by raising money to provide the chance for others, in my brother’s situation, to be given all the necessary support to remove the barriers to their independence.
