Thank you for visiting my Just Giving page!
The Alzheimer’s Society is such an eligible Charity and I am proud to be taking part in their Lake District Four Peaks Challenge this Summer.
There are 750,000 people with dementia in the UK with numbers set to rise to 1 million by 2025.
The Alzheimer’s Society aims to radically improve the world for people with dementia. They hope for a world where dementia sufferers have their rights recognised; where they fully contribute to family and community life and where they can live with dignity, free from discrimination. A world where they and those who care for them have their needs fully met.
The Alzheimer’s Society has a network of over 2,000 services which help over 30,000 people every week, providing a range of practical services for people with dementia and their carers.
Dementia research is desperately underfunded in the UK compared to the impact of the condition. Alzheimer’s Society is determined to increase the amount of research it does, both directly and through partnerships with others.
Any donations you give will be greatly appreciated and well received by the Charity. Your help enables the Alzheimer’s Society to continue their fantastic research and support programmes for people with dementia and those who care for them.
Together, we can fight dementia!
