Hi and thanks for visiting my fundraising page!

I am lucky enough to be running the London Marathon this year through the ballot entry system as a member of Ely Runners and I have chosen to support local two local charities. I am raising money for both Magpas (this page) and the East Anglian Air Ambulance (www.justgiving.com/emilyknight_EAAA).

Magpas provide the  highly trained doctors and paramedics who fly on the East Anglian Air Ambulance and Cambridge Police Helicopter as well as training and supporting Community First Responders; non-medical volunteers who save lives in their local town or village throughout Cambridgeshire. A member of my running club is a First Responder - a worthy achievement!

Both charities are supported entirely by voluntary donations so are very worthy causes and need our continued support.

My training has been going pretty much to plan so far (big thanks to Ely Runners for the support) and I am getting plenty of miles in my legs. I'm not sure I'll be able to manage a sprint finish but I'm really looking forward the challenge of 26.2 miles!
