Story

Hi folks,

After running three half-marathons and many many 10ks I'm now ready to face my biggest challenge yet... a marathon! This is a huge dream of mine, and with this personal achievement, I would like to raise as much money as possible for Breast Cancer Care - a charity I feel very strongly about and that I've raised funds for previously.

On top of the marathon, we're organising two other events with the help of my family and friends. Firstly, a quiz in my home-town of Dunoon at Dunoon Golf Club on Friday the 18th of March - it's sure to be an entertaining night with a raffle at the interval to win some great prizes. Secondly, a bake sale at work on Tuesday the 26th of April with the help of my colleagues, too many to name, who are donating home-baked goodies! My mum is also working away making cards, and my granny is making crafts to sell, donating all the money they raise to Breast Cancer Care.

What's more, my employer, Tesco, is supporting me all the way by offering me a 20% top-up on everything I raise - so keep that in mind and be super-generous as for every £5 you donate, Tesco will add another pound! Plus, if you're a UK tax-payer please don't forget to add in gift-aid! Doesn't cost you a thing and adds that little bit more to support this amazing cause.

Thanks in advance for all your support.

To Becky Farish, my granny: love you so much; I so admire your strength and hopefully I can be just as strong when I hit the wall a few miles in! You're an inspiration and we're so lucky to have you.

PS: There is an error on this page - it says I'm doing the half-marathon but I am in fact doing the full marathon, I just don't know how to change it!
