7 weeks ago I decided I wanted a new exercise challenge. For some strange reason, running outside seemed like a good idea, so I gave it a shot...

Now, almost 2 months, and 54 training miles later, I am still loving it!

The "Weston Park Run in the Park", on 12th July 2009, is the first 10km race I will be entering - and the one I want to campaign for sponsorship, for 2 reasons:

1) It is my first 10km race, so will be a huge achievement in itself!

2) The fact that it is for Weston Park Hospital Cancer Charity.

I have very recently lost one of my closest friends to cancer, so I am all the more motivated to both run this race and raise AS MUCH sponsorship as possible, for Weston Park Hospital (for whom I've heard nothing but fantastic reviews about).
