THANK YOU FOR FOR THE AMAZING SUPPORT THAT YOU ALL GAVE TO ME AND FOR ALL THE FABULOUS DONATIONS THAT I HAVE RECEIVED FOR ARCH. I AM SO GREATFUL FOR YOUR HELP AND UNDERSTANDING REGARDING THIS CAUSE. YOU HAVE ALL MADE ME SO PROUD. THANK YOU XX

Hello and thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page

I will be taking part in a charity abseil on 26th September 2009 for a local charity called Arch.

I first became aware of "Arch" North Staffordshire through my weekly BNI meeting. We had a visitor -  Ray Elkes who is the local fundraiser for the area. Ray briefly described what "Arch" do and I immediately wanted to help.

"Arch" is a charity in North Staffordshire which provides accommodation, services and support for people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness.

"Arch" provides specialist services for the following needs:

  *Women experiencing domestic violence

  *Homeless people

  *Men experiencing domestic violence

  *Offenders

  *Professionals

  *Schools

The organisation helps around 2,000 people each year from Stoke-on-Trent, Newcastle-under-Lyme and the Staffordshire Moorlands, including single people, families, women and children.

"Arch" aim to support anyone in our area who is disadvantaged and needs extra help. Some of the things they do are…

  •   *Give vulnerable people somewhere to stay and give essential life skills before moving on to their own home
  •
  •    *Work together with our clients to keep their homes or move to somewhere more suitable

  •    *Help people to develop new skills and become more confident, so they can get into further training or find a job

  •    *Support women affected by domestic violence through group or one-to-one sessions, or provide them and their children with refuge accommodation

  • If I hadn't got my own business to run, I would very much like a career working within this line of profession, and I am seriously considering looking at voluntary work with this charity (if they'll have me).

Again thank you for reading my page.

As an added incentive for myself I am hoping to loose as many pounds weight wise as I am raising money wise for this event. £10 being equal to one "fat" pound, so please help me to help "Arch".

As soon as I receive my first donation I will put my current weight on this page. OH MY GOD!!!! Have I just written that??

    Arrgghhhh..........171 lbs
