Flora London Marathon 2009 · 26 April 2009 ·

Link believes all children have the right to a good quality education. We work with schools and communities in Ethiopia, Ghana, Malawi and Uganda. By sharing and developing skills we are bringing about long-lasting change, helping over a million children have a better start in life.

Story

Words cannot describe the experience. I honestly loved every minute of it. Yes it was hard in parts but the incredible support of the crowds carried you through. It was more emotional than painful and I burst into tears as I crossed the finish line through overwhleming emotions. I feel privileged to have had such an incredible experience.

Meanwhile you still donate if you haven't done already...

I'm raising money for a school I worked at in South Africa. The students, and indeed the community, have no access to water or electricity, never mind chairs and tables for the few classroooms they have access to - the photo says it all. The money will allow the school to build a basic infrastructure to support learning.

The boring but necessary part: donating through this website is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s the most efficient way to sponsor me because Link Community Development (the charity that made the visit happen and will make sure the money is well spent) gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

For more info on the charity see www.lcd.org.uk.

I cannot thank you enough for your support and would thoughly recommend running the marathon!
