Story
On 16 September 2007 in Hydge Park Amelia and I are doing the Hydro Active Womens Challenge 5k run with 20 other ladies.
All the money raised will be going to Fight for Sight for research in Choroideremia the genetic eye condition Tommy has. Since finding out in February 2005 we have raised over £55,000 for Fight for Sight. This has only been possbile with the help from all of our family, friends and work collegues. Paul and I thank you all so much for your continued love, support and generous donations.
Miguel Seabra at Imperial College has been researching Choroideremia in the UK for the past 15 years and has started recently some very exciting tests. He hopes that within the next 3 years they will start testing on humans and in the next 8-10 years there will be a cure. The money we have raised paid for two members of his team to go out to America earlier this year, without our donations this trip would not have taken place until next year and therefore the tests he is doing now would not be happening.
Thank you for visiting our fundrasing page. Please sponsor us online so we can raise more money for Fight for Sight and help Tommy and everyone else suffering from Choroideremia.
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Fight for Sight will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
So please sponsor me now!
Many thanks for your support.
With love
Emma and Amelia
