On Sunday 12th October I will be taking part in the Farnborough Ladies Driving Challenge in aid of raising money for the Fire Fighters Charity.  In this driving challenge I get to drive a range of vehicles that can be anything from the list below and possibly more.

Fire Appliances, Articulate Lorries, Fuel Tankers, HGV recovery vehicle, Marked police vehicles, 100 ton telescopic crane, Limo, Forklift truck, Single and double decker buses, JCB, Cement mixer, HIAB grab, Hovercraft, Old military vehicles, Vintage fire engines and tractors.  There could possibly be other vehicles their on the day aswell. 

As everyone knows Firefighters have a very difficult job, one which they don’t get paid very well for.  From time to time they suffer injuries which mean they can’t work again or are out of action for a long time.  This charity helps to support the injured fire fighters and their families at a difficult time after an injury.  It cost over £9 million per year to keep the charity running as they get no funding from the government.
