Muscle disease is the gradual and relentless wasting and weakening of muscles. It can affect babies, children and adults. There is no cure. The Muscular Dystrophy Campaign is the leading UK charity dedicated to improving the lives of all people affected by muscle disease. We provide free care and support; fund world-class research to find treatments and cures; campaign to bring about change and award grants towards the cost of equipment such as wheelchairs.

My story

Hey all,

We are doing a 2 week trek to everest base camp in 6 weeks and are trying to raise money for Muscular Dystrophy Campaign. Muscular dystrophy is a collection of neuro muscular conditions, which are all characterised by muscle wasting. This is a charity that funds research into finding treatments and cures for muscular dystrophy. This is a excellent charity, for a condition that is very close to our hearts.

The trek is at high altitude and not everyone makes it to the top-so wish us luck! We have been training (ish!) and your support will help us in our mission to the top.
