Story

Hi.

My name is Andrew Kilby and this summer I will be cycling the 1000miles  from Lands End to John O'Groats.

I will be doing it in memory of my younger brother James who was seriously injured and sadly died after a car accident near Kings Lynn in July 2009.

At 25 he was 20yrs younger than me.

After the accident he was taken to and treated and looked after by the staff of the accident and emergency department of Kings Lynn hospital. Sadly despite their best efforts he died just 9hrs after the accident.

As the youngest of five children his death has left a huge gap in not only his families lives but the lives of others that came into contact with him.

The accident occurred after spending a long weekend away in Norwich with his parents as he was on his way home. He waved goodbye and we never saw him again.

As we said at his funeral " We just turned around and He was gone"

James leaves a big hole in our lives that cannot be filled.

Everyday he is in our thoughts.

To express the gratitude of both myself and my family to the care given to James by the Kings Lynn A &E Department I would like to raise some money to help those who sadly will in the future need the care of this hospital.

Any donation would be gratefully received.

Thanking you in advance,

Andrew Kilby
