Land's End to John O'Groats August 2011

On the evening of 6th April 2010, following several beers in an Edinburgh pub, someone (Dave) suggested that we attempt to cycle from the bottom to the top of the UK. Some 14 months later and 2 months from the start we have begun to realise the enormity of the challenge.
On Friday 26th August myself, Dave and Glen will be departing Land's End and reaching John O'Groats approximately 1000 miles and 12 days later - hopefully with legs still intact! We'll be carrying all our gear with us but it will be worth the effort if we can reach our fundraising target for Sport Relief.
If you would like to donate, then that would be great - we would really appreciate your support - if not for the ride, then for having to endure the 12hr 45 minute train journey back to Hitchin!
Adam will be setting a fierce pace for the first 3 days before departing at Gloucester - but if anyone wants to join us for a leg or two of the ride, you are more than welcome - just let me, Dave or Glen know!
Cheers,
John
P.s We still have a vacancy for Team Support Driver if anyone is available (the wearing of brightly coloured lycra is optional)
