We are a group of young people passionate for seeing an end to the modern slave trade. Many people believe that the slave trade was abolished in 1807 ... this is not true! People all over the world are being sold for profit and forced to work in abusive and life threatening conditions.

This could be happening in a far off country, but odds are that it is happening in your own country, your own town, maybe even on your own street. Because of the nature of this industry, many people don't realise that it happens in the same places that they are living and working.

Upon hearing about the extent of prostitution and abuse taking place in our very own town, we, a group of young people, felt that God was breaking our hearts for this cause. It is our intention to raise both awareness and money to aid the battle to end modern slavery.

We are doing a sponsered fast for 24hrs or 48hrs, during which we will only be allowed to consume water. We hope that you will sponser us, pray for us, join us or even spread the word about this cause.

If you would like to find out about Hope For Justice, the charity our proceeds will go towards, please visit their website - http://www.hopeforjustice.org.uk/

There work is so important to the fight against this abusive industry.

We are also splitting the money 50:50 with another charity, Stop the Traffik (unfortunatly we cannot have dual charities linked to this page, but we will be collecting money manually in our local area for this half of the proceeds) - http://www.stopthetraffik.org/
