Since my father’s death from cancer, not a year goes by that I don’t meet people in all walks of life that haven’t been touched in some way by this terrible disease.  A majority of people who require treatment for the various forms of cancer end up at Christie’s to save their lives and support them and their families through considerably difficult times.  Their expertise and professionalism is world renowned and they are dependent on private funding to carry out research and provide treatment.

That is why myself and a team of fellow colleagues and business associates take on demanding challenges each year to raise funds through your kind generosity, and we make sure that we earn it through physically demanding ordeals.

This year is no exception.  Over the weekend of 26^th and 27^th June 2010, we will be cycling from Lands End to John O’Groats in 48 hours!  Working in a continual relay of three small teams, we intend to complete the 870 miles, and 37,620 feet of ascents, pedalling day and night, in record time.
