Eric Coulshed and Tim Dawson are peddling hard on a cycle marathon from one end of the United Kingdom to the other - a total of 1,000 gruelling miles.

That in itself is challenging enough but the intrepid twosome are making it more demanding by carrying prayers for peace and compassion along their route.

They have set out from Land’s End and will fly colourful Tibetan prayer flags at various points on the journey, while collecting more flags at Kagyu Samye Ling Tibetan Buddhist Centre in the Scottish Borders.

Eventually, the messages on all the prayer flags will be carried on the winds out across the Atlantic and North Sea from John O’Groats.

Eric and Tim are hoping to raise as much money as possible for Rokpa UK’s important and life-saving overseas projects (see www.rokpauk.org) as well as to establish a centre for world peace and health in the beautiful Highlands of Scotland, from which many, many people will be able to benefit.

Please join Tim and Eric on this major 14-day fundraising marathon - but do it the easy way by simply donating some cash to promote their efforts and spur them on over every painful mile.
