Thank you so much for visiting my fundraising page.

Most of you will already know that I'm completely and utterly mad!   Not content with running marathons (which in itself is a huge challenge having completed 18 of these monsters to date!), I had a sudden flash of real stupidity and decided to travel from the most southerly point of England to the most northerly bit of Scotland.....and to make it just that little bit difficult....to run it!

I've already completed the first part of the challenge : that of plotting my intended route and booking my overnight accommodation.  I'm going to be totally self-supported (although there are going to be plenty of loved ones at the end of the phone for those days when it's pouring with rain / blowing a gale and I really, really don't want to don my running shoes and venture out into the great expanse of moorland nothingness!) so the knowledge that there are people out there who have donated hard earned cash to see me suffer will definitely spur me on!

The plan is that my adventure starts on Saturday 26 April 2008 and over the next 10 weeks I will be running an average of 17 / 20 miles per day (I'm graciously allowing myself one day off each week)......the entire journey is around 1,100 miles which is the equivalent of 42 marathons back-to-back.  Actually that's a bit scary...am I really this insane?

I have also set up a blog page so you can track where I am and how I'm coping (can everyone please start now to pray for nice spring weather....no rain, wind, fog, coldness etc etc etc..... thank you very much!).  See www.endtoendrunner.blogspot.com

Please, please, please, dig deep and sponsor me online.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Cancer Research UK will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you....how cool is that!

I lost both parents to cancer related illnesses and by completing this for Cancer Research I'm trying to do my bit  to make a difference to others in the future.

So please......sponsor me now!.....like right now would be good....this challenge is going to be something very, very special but it's going to be incredibly hard for me and every little penny you donate is really going to make a huge difference, knowing that there are people out there rooting for me to achieve this goal....

Many thanks for your support.

Carole AKA endtoendrunner!
