My name is Mark Briggs, I'm in the picture on the left of the page along with the rest of the team at last years Great Manchester Run. We all finished the run and managed to raise over £2,200. Following on from the success of last year, we are running in the Great Manchester Run again, on May 18th, along with 14 other team members. We hope to raise as much money as possible to donate to the Willow Wood Hospice by completing the 10 km run.
Willow Wood Hospice is located in Ashton-under-Lyne, and provides specialist Care focusing on relieving pain, symptoms and stress to those suffering with life-threatening illnesses.
The Hospice is a place of warmth and comfort set in a homely environment which is often a relief to those who have spent months - sometimes years - in and out of hospital. Contrary to belief, the Hospice is full of life, love and laughter; staff ensure patients maintain their dignity and live life to the full within their own limitations.

Well, we all ran the race last Sunday and every one of us put in a massive effort. We all finished in good time with most of us beating last years time!!! Fantastic day with a great atmosphere, I for one can't wait to run it again next year (I'll be fitter by then I hope!)
