Three Peaks Challenge · 11 June 2005

We care for children & young people with life-threatening conditions across Cambs, Essex, Norfolk & Suffolk and support their families. This can be at home, in hospital or at one of three hospices at Milton, The Treehouse and The Nook. We rely on voluntary donations for the majority of our income.

Story

Hello and thank you for visiting my online fundraising page!

On July 24th, a team of eleven of us (8 walkers + 3 support crew) will attempt to climb Britain's three highest mountains consecutively within one 24 hour period. It is a tough challenge: one of endurance, stamina and willpower (not to mention staying awake!) and the 24hr time period includes the time that it will take to drive between the three tallest peaks: Ben Nevis in Scotland, Scafell Pike in England and Snowdon in Wales (in total, about 11,178ft).

We will be raising money for the East Anglia's Children's Hospice (each) in Milton, which is a registered charity that cares for terminally-ill children and supports their families both in the hospices and in their own homes. each currently cares for more than 350 sick children and over 100 bereaved families. If you would like to know more about each please visit their website, www.each.org.uk

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: East Anglia's Children's Hospices will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

Many thanks for your support. Yours, Carlos
