Wooden Spoon - Ford Ranger Great Lakeland Challenge · 10 September 2010 ·

Wooden Spoon is the children’s charity of rugby. Our vision is that through the power of rugby every child and young person across the UK & Ireland, no matter what their background has access to the same opportunities.

Story

The Epiphany directors decided they needed a challenge!

The Great Lakeland Challenge involves completing the following, in less than 12 hours:

1. THE LONGEST LAKE in England (a 10.5 mile canoe, the length of Lake Windermere.)
2. THE STEEPEST PASS in England (a 26 mile cycle over England’s steepest road pass - 1:3 gradient.)
3. THE HIGHEST MOUNTAIN (an 8.5 mile run up Englands highest peak, Scafell Pike.)
All in the name of charity, with a little slice of physical and mental torment thrown in for good measure.
The event takes place on the 10th September so please show us your support and donate to the fantastic Wooden Spoon charity.
