About my charity : Shine: Support And Help In Education Shine: Support And Help In Education
SHINE: Support and Help in Education, was founded in March 1999. Our mission is to support additional educational initiatives which encourage children and young people to raise their achievement levels. SHINE funds organisations working with underachieving 7-16 year olds from disadvantaged areas in London and Manchester.

My personal message:

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. 

Of course, 13.1 miles will not be a problem after all my glorious running experience... not! Jokes aside... I am training for the Windsor Half Marathon, which takes place on 21 September 2008, and looking to raise at least £1,000 for SHINE: Support and Help in Education.

SHINE is a charity that is promoted by the CFA Society of the UK, and shares the Society's commitment to education.  I am running as part of a team of ten (possibly eleven) CFA UK members looking to raise a combined £10,000 for SHINE.  I do hope you will reach deep into your pockets and sponsor me in my effort to support the educational aspirations of disadvantaged children in the UK.
