Eric Ellmore of Walton, Peterborough, passed away peacefully at home, with his daughter Ruth by his side, on Wednesday 18th May 2022, aged 91.

He'd been in hospital for 2 weeks but made it quite clear he wanted to go home. He 'hung on' a few days longer until arrangements were made, so he could die at home which was always his wish. 24 hours later he slipped away peacefully, just as he wanted.

The Sue Ryder team were amazing during that last day and couldn't have done more to make him feel comfortable.

He was an amazingly capable and independent man, an inspiration, a true gentleman, a wonderful husband to Evelyn and a devoted father to Ruth. He was liked and loved by many and will be fondly remembered and sadly missed by everyone who knew him.
