I'm someone who likes a challenge (after all I'm a teacher) and after completing my first triathlon this year I thought the next goal should be the London marathon!
I am running for The Injury Minimization Programme for Schools (I.M.P.S.) which is a health education programme for year 6 children that provides them with the knowledge and skills to:
- minimise injury
- provide basic life support
- take safer risks
Unintentional injury is a leading cause of death and illness in young people. On average 2 million children attend A&E departments each year because of accidental injury and every week 5 children die. Many of these injuries are preventable.
I.M.P.S. educational programmes and resources aim to minimise the number of accidents that lead to death or disability.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
Thank you for you support.
