Story
A big thank you to everyone who has sponsored me and sent good luck wishes.
The marathon was an amazing experience but so, so hard. I knew it wouldn't be easy but I wasn't expecting quite so much pain! I managed it in 4.13.28 - not so bad considering the baking sun and time out with my injury.
With your support I have smashed my fundraising target so a huge THANK YOU!

So a lot has happened since I wrote the note below – with less than two weeks to go I am now absolutely terrified and the training has been completely disrupted by a very bad knee injury which meant I couldn’t run for 5 weeks. My aim of finishing in 4 hours has changed to just trying to finish – but I am still determined to do it!
Thanks to everyone who has supported me – both with hard cash and words of support. It really is appreciated.

I always knew this would be a huge, huge challenge…but as I write this there are only 11 ½ weeks to go and I’m starting to get really scared!
The marathon is 26.2 miles – or 42 km which is a very long way. At best 4 hours of running. And training at the moment is in the snow!
I’ve pledged £1500 to Crisis and with your help I hope to be able to reach that target. I could not imagine what it would be like to sleep rough which is why I am running for this great charity which helps homeless people get off the streets with education and links to vital services, housing and employment.
If you’ve not donated through Justgiving before it’s really easy. This is what they say:
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Crisis gets your money faster and, if you’re a UKtaxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
Thank you for all your support – including those who have said they are going to come and cheer me on/laugh at me on the day!
