Fundraising for Forever Angels Baby Home
Story
Forever Angels is a non-profit making company in the UK and is registered as a charity with the UK Charity Commission under the registration number 1111873. The objective of Forever Angels UK is to promote and raise awareness of orphaned and abandoned children in Tanzania and to support initiatives to alleviate these problems.
Forever Angels Baby Home provides a stable, loving home for up to 50 orphaned and abandoned babies and infants who are severely disadvantaged. It provides nutrition, love, health care, physical and emotional support until the child is either fostered, adopted or reunited with their family.
Forever Angels believe that all children are born 'angels' - innocent, beautiful and able to 'fly'. Unfortunately they witness many babies in Tanzania with such poverty stricken and unfortunate backgrounds that the angel within them will never be seen. We want to give every child in our care a secure and loving beginning so that they are able to 'grow wings and fly'
I volunteered the Baby Home on 5th October 2008 for 6 weeks, and am going back on 6th September 2009 for a further 6 weeks!!! I helped with painting, day to day maintenance and giving the babies lots of much needed cuddles!! The experience was life changing and I will continue to support Forever Angels in any way I can. I want to raise as much money as possible - anything you can give, not matter how little, would be most appreciated and don't forget to Gift Aid it if you are a UK taxpayer! My employer has also matched the first £350 so please dig deep!
I also want to clarify that every penny of this money is going direct to Forever Angels and is not for any expense I incurred for going.
