Updated on behalf of Eric & Shiva, the walk is underway and videos of the West Highland Way section have been uploaded to youtube.

Update 01/06/2008 - I spoke to Eric yesterday and he and Shiva are doing fine, they have completed the return leg from Cape Wrath to Fort William and are currently taking a few days of well earned rest. Setting off on the last leg (West Highland Way) on Monday, this marathon hike is nearly over!

Update 10/06/2008 - Against all the odds and na sayers, Eric completed his hike on the 09/06/2008 and is currently resting up and Shiva too at Milngavie, for all who donated I/we thank you!!.

Update 12/07/2008 - The walk is finally over Eric & Shiva have been back home for a while now and have fully recovered, we have left the donations open for a little while longer to see if we can achieve  the £1,000.00 mark.

However, for all who donated we thank you.

On the 15/04/2008 we, myself and Shiva (my dog) will be walking the West Highland Way then the Cape Wrath Trail and then turning around and walking back again to Milngavie (Just outside of Glasgow) the start of the West Highland Way a total of 620 Miles and 8 weeks to raise money for my selected charity macmillan!

I am 67 and will be hiking the entire route purist fashion, (Rucksack, tent food for me and my dog etc.,) I have walked the West Highland Way and Cape Wrath a few times! This is the first time however that I have combined them both into a yo-yo attempt.

Cape Wrath is possibly the most difficult long distance walk in UK/Scotland some of it and me on the Pennine Way can be seen on my youtube page below.
