Essex Community Foundation is helping voluntary and community groups throughout Essex thrive, by providing much needed grants. Since we were established in 1996, some 4500 projects have benefited by £16.5 million in grants.

The Acorn Fund is the Foundation's own fund and provides grants to support voluntary and community organisations that have identified a real need in their community. The aim of the fund is to provide resources to existing causes and also to support new and emerging issues. It is an unrestricted, endowed Fund with grants distributed at the discretion of our Trustees so donors can give safe in the knowledge that their donation will continue to benefit the voluntary sector in Essex in perpetuity.
