i did it ? i ran the marathon and my marathon journey story is below- what a day atmosphere was amazing. The 1st 6 miles probably went a little too quick finally settled into my pace. The charity cheer points were loud and fab Saw my family at 9 miles and cried. Felt strong at 10 then tower bridge well oh my god I will never forget that. Wow I'm at half way. Start to count backwards and still feel strong. 16 miles came round quick but had a in...cident a poor chap fell over and took me with him. Brushed myself off and carried on. 17 miles got stitch ouch had to stop. :-( saw my family at 18 stopped for a cuddle xx still feel good stitch gone and there it is 20 mile only 10k to go. Get to 22 and hear a shout my family. Bloody stitch return.and completely takes me out I stop and walk for a while not a happy bunny slowly but surely start to run see sign 2.5 miles to go no more stopping I will finish slowed down then.here it is 25 mile nearly there the creeds on the mall.amazing 600m - 400m hello queen turn corner that sign 385yds. Turn up the pace there is the finish line .... And crossed now I cry. Siobhan this was for you xx

thank you to everyone who have donated so far im at 19% total raised xx

On the 22nd April 2012 i will be pulling on my trainers and running the London marathon in memory of a friend who lost her battle with breast cancer in April 2011, at a tender age of 34.

I can’t bottle her ability and strength to look cancer in the face, and fight with continued dignity, but if i can take on board her strength to give me the motivation to run 26.2miles to raise money to support the unseen professionals and doctors to move things forwards, then this is my way.

I’m privileged to have been allocated a place running on behalf of the charity Breast Cancer Campaign, with the aim of researching the cure for breast cancer. The charity aims to be the leading specialist in breast cancer research across the UK and Ireland, making a significant impact on breast cancer for the benefit of patients.

At Breast Cancer Campaign, everyone can BE PART OF THE CURE. Please help me raise the minimum pledge of £2500

i would love to raise £5000 for the charity and this will become my target once i've reached my minimum amount. if i reach £5000 i will run in fancy dress

thank you for visiting my page

hugs Esther xx
