We work at The Elisabeth Svendsen Trust for Children and Donkey’ donkey-riding therapy charity in Eccup and we’ve signed up to take part in the Jane Tomlinson’s Leeds 10k charity run on Sunday 4 July!We are now on a mission to raise funds for our Leeds Centre by gathering sponsors. Our centre helps over 170 local special needs children every week by providing donkey riding therapy and other facilities.
Cathryn Williams, team leader says: “We will be running to raise funds for our EST centre which helps children with special needs and disabilities; we don’t charge a penny to the parents, schools or hospices whose children attend the centre.
“The children benefit hugely from the act of riding and we often see milestones achieved in the arena, such as severely disabled children who learn balance or those with speech problems who speak their very first words.”

We have also pledged a personal donation to the Jane Tomlinson Appeal, which was established by the late Jane Tomlinson CBE to raise funds for children's and cancer charities.
