In the UK: Prostate cancer is the most common cancer in men. 35,000 men are diagnosed with prostate cancer every year. One man dies every hour of prostate cancer. The Prostate Cancer Charity is the UK’s leading charity working with people affected by prostate cancer. We fund research, provide support and information, and we campaign to improve the lives of men with prostate cancer. We provide the only UK-wide prostate cancer Helpline staffed by prostate cancer specialist nurses. Our nurses offer free and confidential information and support to anyone affected by prostate cancer. The Prostate Cancer Charity is working towards a world where lives are no longer limited by prostate cancer. The Charity is fighting prostate cancer on every front - through research, support, information and campaigning.

My story

Thankyou for donating. I know what a pain it can be when people ask for sponsorship..... there are so many deserving causes that it is easy to get 'charity fatigue'. All the money donated will go towards fighting prostate cancer, and none of it will be used for any of my equipment or expenses.Prostate cancer is a strange disease. In some men it seems to be dormant and causes almost no problems. In others, it is aggressive and spreads to the bones, blocks the kidneys and grows into the other organs in the pelvis. Not nice!

I'm sure there is a cure out there. Men are useless with regard to their bodies and don't talk about their problems, so we men need to become more active on our own behalf.
